Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the DVOTD Inc. ("DVOTD", "we", "us") website at getdvotd.com and companion.getdvotd.com, and your participation in any Conference Companion text-message program. By using the site or opting in to a program you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Program description
The Conference Companion is a text-message service that DVOTD Inc. provides to attendees of participating events. DVOTD Inc. is the sender of every message. When you opt in, DVOTD Inc. confirms your number, asks what you came to the event to achieve, and sends you session reminders, schedule updates, and personalized recommendations for the event you're attending. Messages may be written with the help of AI and are reviewed by DVOTD Inc.
Opting in
You join by texting the event's keyword to the DVOTD Conference Companion number, by scanning the event's QR code and completing the form it opens, or by entering your mobile number on a sign-up form and ticking an unchecked box agreeing to receive messages from DVOTD Inc. Consent is never pre-selected and is not a condition of attendance. DVOTD Inc. sends a one-time confirmation message to verify your number before any other message is sent.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, up to 8 msgs/day during the event. Before and after the event, messages are occasional.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. DVOTD Inc. will send one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. To rejoin, opt in again using the same method.

Cost and carriers
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The program is available on major U.S. carriers; delivery is subject to carrier availability.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, and the account holder or have the account holder's permission, to opt in. By opting in you confirm that the number you provided is yours.
Your information
How we collect, use, and share information from the program is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Use of the website
You may use this site to learn about the Conference Companion and to request a walkthrough. You agree not to interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or submit false information through the booking form.
Walkthrough requests
Submitting the booking form sends your details to DVOTD so we can contact you about your event. A request is not a contract. Any engagement between DVOTD and an event is set out in a separate written agreement.
Intellectual property
The Conference Companion, this website, and all text, design, images, and software on it belong to DVOTD Inc. or its licensors. An event that offers the Companion may display its name alongside it for the term of its agreement; DVOTD Inc. remains the provider and the sender of all messages. Nothing here grants any other licence.
Disclaimers
The website and programs are provided "as is". Session recommendations and other program content are suggestions to help you get more from an event; they are not professional advice. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered on time or at all.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DVOTD Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or a program, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for the service concerned.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site or a program after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which DVOTD Inc. is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
